Who We Are

An independent platform bridging Bangladeshi and global expertise to defend democracy, human rights and social justice.

The Global Center for Democratic Governance (GCDG) is a research, advocacy and policy platform dedicated to advancing secularism, democracy, social justice and national unity in Bangladesh.

We believe a well-informed and active citizenry is the cornerstone of a thriving democracy. We facilitate meaningful discussion, produce evidence-led analysis, and equip people to contribute to a just and equitable society. Working with scholars, activists, policymakers and grassroots organisations, we build a durable framework for democratic governance that serves everyone.

We empower the Bangladeshi community by bridging Bangladeshi and global intellects through visionary research, advocacy and cross-cultural exchange.
